NEIL YOUNG pubblica oggi venerdì 26 febbraio “Way Down in the Rust Bucket”, un album live inedito che documenta il leggendario show con i Crazy Horse del 1990 a Santa Cruz, California. “Way Down in the Rust Bucket” ripropone il debutto live dell’album “Ragged Glory” uscito nel 1990.
Dopo aver registrato “Ragged Glory” al Broken Arrow Ranch nella primavera del 1990 e averlo pubblicato a settembre, Young e i Crazy Horse sono saliti sul palco de The Catalyst a Santa Cruz il 13 novembre per svelare i nuovi brani. In vero stile Crazy Horse, lo show è uno spettacolare set di più di tre ore che ha letteralmente stregato il pubblico presente con canzoni come “Love and Only Love” e “Like a Hurricane”. Durante lo show Young ha inoltre suonato live, per la prima volta, “Danger Bird”, brano eliminato dall’album “Zuma” del 1975. Tra gli altri debutti live su “Way Down in the Rust Bucket” : “Surfer Joe and Moe the Sleaze”, “Love to Burn”, “Farmer John”, “Over and Over”, “Fuckin’ Up”, “Mansion on the Hill” e “Love and Only Love”.
Way Down in the Rust Bucket esce in vari formati: l’edizione BOXSET deluxe contiene il DVD live del concerto diretto da Bernard Shakey e prodotto e diretto per Shakey Pictures e Upstream Multimedia da LA Johnson così come 4 LP e 2 CD. Il DVD contiene una performance ulteriore di “Cowgirl In The Sand” (della durata di 13 minuti!) che non compare nelle edizioni in vinile o in CD. Le altre versioni sono un cofanetto in vinile con 4LP e uno con 2CD.
